LAPP Tannehill Hires Front Desk Receptionist & Billing Admin

The LAPP Tannehill team welcomes Sarah Yurk as our new front desk receptionist and billing administrator at the Savage, MN office!

Where are you from and where do you live now?
I was born here in Minneapolis, but my family moved to Canton Michigan when I was young. I moved back to Minnesota as a teenager and graduated from Eden Prairie.

Pets/Family?
I have 3 cats: Lizzie, Jackie and Winter. I have two teenage girls: Peggy and Maggie. I also live with my boyfriend Andy.

What are your hobbies?
I love love love to do puzzles! I crochet and cross stitch as well. I am always looking for crafts to do.

What is a random fact about you?
I love trivia and weird random facts. I was on a trivia team in college.

What are your favorite and/or recommended books, movies, tv series, or podcasts?

What is one thing that motivates you every day?
My family.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to?
Coos Bay Oregon right on the Pacific Ocean.

If you could give your younger self advice, what would it be?
Just breathe and know that it all works out exactly how it is supposed to.

What is/was your dream career and why?
I would really love to be in a position to mentor teenagers. I love that age group and they are fun to work with.

Where did you go to college and what did you major in?
St. Cloud State University and majored Secondary Education with an emphasis in History.

What are past positions you've held in your career? And what skills/experience do you bring to this position?
Life has taken a lot of drastic twist and turns. I worked in the legal field as a legal assistant for 6 years. I also have fast food restaurant management experience. Both positions have provided a well-rounded set of skills. I have learned the importance of organization, time management, communication, and working together as a team.

What are you excited about at LAPP Tannehill?
I’m really excited to be here. I really love being a part of a family-oriented company. I really enjoy my tasks as they fit my skill set perfectly. Also the culture of this company is really great to be a part of.
